Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So I traveled over 250 kilometer to see this “Ermita” only to find out that it was close for restoration. In my short time in location, I saw dozens of people turning around, just like me. A note or warning in the web site would have been useful for many of past and future visitors.

Decided to visit when we had some free time. It was free to enter, possibly because it was a weekend. The chapel is about 3/4 miles from the parking lot, but an easy walk. The route through the complex is well marked. For being such a small chapel in a somewhat remote spot, I was surprised how ornately painted the main chapel was. From the time we parked the car, walked to it, visited it, and returned to the car was just under an hour.

Beautiful little chapel on top of a rock cliff; different and worthy the walk from the city. Visit is free on Sunday morning with no time limit to finish the visit.

We drove by car and walked for 15 minutes along a beautiful path. Then we arrived at the cave: beautiful (and cool temperature) entrance. Realy great to sea the monestry built into the rockes: some rooms and views open for public. A must see when you visit Soria💖

This is where the Patron Saint of Soria lived in the V Century. By the XVII Century they built an amazing Hermitage- La Ermita! You will be so surprised to see what is inside this mountainside hermit’s cave! Definitely a wonderful highlight of our our trip.

Ermita de San Saturio is a religious building in the rocks close to Soria, the main city in Soria Region, in Castilla y León. You do a walk in the river (called Duero) bank to arrive to this point. So, the walk is very beautiful and the visit and the history of this place is very interesting. Inside the hermotage, you can learn about San Saturio and the religious place.

We found the Ermita on a morning walk along the river. The opening time stated 10:30, so we waited around for the gates to open. The rock structure and the church built on top is really amazing. There is beautiful craftsmanship throughout (stone and wood carvings, painted frescos, amazing wood floors and tables).

Lovely walk (about 2 km?) along the river Duero to reach this beautiful hermitage. It almost hangs over the river. Free entry. Well worth a visit.
