- MalLondonGreenwich, United Kingdom271 contributionsLast time I went on this chair lift I was 10, now I'm a pensioner!!I went on this chair lift when I was 10 years old, a long time ago, it was my first ever chair lift adventure and it hasn't changed at all. I loved it then and I loved it now on this recent visit. It's quite scary getting onto the chair and then off again but the guys helped me massively especially as I shouted out "ho paura, autimi per favore" (I'm scared, please help me) .. they smiled and made sure the entry/exit was slow and safe. The views along the chair lift route are stunning. The views once you're up at the top are even more magical. The only downside is the cafe/bar/restaurant at the top that charges extortionate prices .. AVOID!!! (see my separate review re La Canzone Del Cielo) - Euro 17 for one drink, seriously???!. This time I took my daughter with me on the chair lift, highlight of our day trip to Capri from Sorrento .. so many memories of that trip years and years ago with my parents and four siblings, now all adults made it very very special. - Karim MaaroufCairo, Egypt875 contributionsNice views up and down the liftThis is a solo chair lift that goes all the way up and down from Monte Solaro. The views on the way down are actually nicer when you are facing downwards. There was quite a queue to get tickets, but it was well worth it and the views from the top were amazing.Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 October 2023
- Nikki BWatford, United Kingdom583 contributionsSpectacular view from the top via chairliftsDecided to get a great view via the chairlift. It’s €14 per person. Well worth it but it’s a little scary if you aren’t keen on heights. The view at the top was spectacular. We got off, had a look around, took some great photos. There is a toilet up there in case you were wondering which costs you 50 cents. Everywhere in Capri costs you 50 cents for the toilet. There was also a nice looking restaurant up there if you have the time.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 October 2023
- charlotte-italiaMilan, Italy77 contributionsFantastic view of the Mediterranean Sea and the tiny island (10 km2)This 1 person chairlift goes to the top a Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri. I was honestly a little nervous as I rattled off, but the view calmed my nerves. From the mountain you have a view both of the Bay of Naples, with the islands of Ischia and Prcida to the north, and to the south you can see Marina Piccola on Capri and the three cliffs - I Faraglioni, and the Gulf of Salerno. In high season there is a bar on the mountain. The trip is absolutely worth the 14 euros (ticket 2023)Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 10 December 2023

Absolutely loved the chair lifts. Fortunately there was no queue. The ride is about 12 minutes, it’s totally serene. You get off at the top and can take in the wonderful views. Not a bad price either.

This was an awful experience, they basically push you into a chair and slam the "safety bar" down without caution. They slammed the bar on my finger and caused bleeding and bruising to my finger and sent me on the lift. Upon notifying multiple employees nothing was done. I had to ask at the bar/restaurant and was given one bandaid. I asked to speak to the manager and was ignored multiple times before he came over. He proceeded to shrug his shoulders, he expressed no concern for the the injury their employee caused. I requested a refund for myself and my party which was granted very rudely after multiple requests. Which I used to purchase the medical supplies for my finger. I would not recommend this excursion to anyone. Very poor customer service. I travel frequently and have never experienced such callous and negligent behavior in any other country or excursion. Quite frankly if you are going to participate please be careful and especially watch your children or elderly family members.

I can’t mark a 0, so I’ll give a 1. We read online that this was open until 4:30, but when walking up at 2pm, we saw the building said closed, but had mean doing what looked like playing cards inside. When we asked about times we were rudely brushed off and told to come back tomorrow. Biggest waste of time, considering this and the Blue Grotto were the only things we came for all the way from Rome. Not to mention, there’s absolutely no food open in March.
0/10. Never again.

Scenic route to get to the top of Mount Solara. Looks rickety, but very safe, smooth ride. Line can initially be long but moves quickly.

What a great experience! The views from beginning to end are amazing and the views from the top are simply stunning! This is a must if you visit Capri. The line moved quickly and lockers are free, however bags are allowed on the lift.

Buongiorno,
io ho un po' paura del vuoto... è a un'altezza accettabile o me la sconsigliereste?
In caso, quale sarebbe l'alternativa?
