This is the third time that we walk the Fortina Coastal Walk (Sentiero dei Fortini Borbonici) and it is even more beautiful in October (the two previous walks was in March). Everything is greener and the see is bluer. The trail is rather steep and...More

We caught the bus to Faro. Was disconcerting the ticket booth was closed but we were able to purchase on board. The older buses are quite run down and the drivers pack you in like sardines. Which is great if you really want to get...More

If you like walking, this is a must do walk in Capri. Well marked track taking you along the coastline. Flora and fauna signage is very interesting plus you go past a number of Napoleon era British forts and pass through farm land. Views is...More

A beautiful Walk with many very helpful explanations on „flora et fauna“ along the way. Not crowded, the Sentiero de Fortini offers great views and some nice sport.

We commenced the hike from the lighthouse end. A quick coffee from the cafe and we were away. So much time and effort has been committed into this paths construction and quaint signage it is a not right that more should not utilise this trail....More

This walk was a highlight for us. Well signposted throughout - both with the direction of the walk and lots of detail on flora and fauna - the views were magnificent - and the path largely very good. A download of the Avenza map of...More

The coastal path meanders, climbs and falls along the mountain side. Take training shoes. We walked from the lighthouse up to the Blue Grotto, which took about 3 hours (with rest stops, photo stops and at an easy pace). Parts of the path are exposed...More

I thought the best views were in the beginning of the walk when starting from the lighthouse. If you start there and go until the first fort, that would give you some good views without going too far. This part of the trail... More

There are a number of bars and cafes that run beachclub facilities and they have shower options, however you may need to pay a small fee for this. You mention 'early morning swim', I'm not sure what time these cafes open... More
