From Anacapri there is a lift which takes you all the way to the highest point of the island, the Monte Solaro, with wonderful views all around particularly towards the Faraglioni.

It was fun to come here by the chair ropeway. Sitting and seeing the valley and greens and houses below. Quite a site. The mountain is nice, and the view from here is even better. There’s a ticket for the ropeway ride. Worth coming here.

If you have mobility or fear if heights then you might want to reconsider this activity. The chairlift is about 25 min roundtrip and the height can make some uncomfortable. However if you don’t mind, definitely go for it. The view is gorgeous from the...More

Skipping the huge crowds, if you can climb a gentle long hill on a dirt trail, is a way to really see the mountain. On the way up we met a large dog that loved licking my face, goats with a stern buck goat that...More

The walk through Anacapri up to the door is filled with little art galleries, hand made sandals are ceramic shops. The view over the ocean with its crystal clear waters from that height is amazing

To be honest I am not a great fan of chairlifts and was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing. However there was no queue when we got there and we got straight on. I would recommend the chairlift ride more than the view at...More

From the Marina, you take either the funicular (cable car) or the bus up the hill to the centre of Capri. Both cost €2 per person. The funicular probably runs more frequently and can transport more people. Don’t take a taxi... More

Hi Ansur, I would obviously think that the earlier the better to avoid the queues as the longer you leave it the more ferries will arrive. We went up at about 12 and the queue was quite big but it moves pretty quickly so... More
