The must-see attraction on Capri is the magical Blue Grotto, where visitors take a boat ride through a natural cavern that is filled with an ethereal and eerie light reflecting on the (very blue) water.

This is amazing, but it can be very crowded and not always open, depends on the tides. Capri Relax Boats or Amazing Capri Tour are the best. Can make a reservation then if can't get in, can see the green grotto or snorkel. If you...More

The much vaunted Grotto Azzurra is a very short adventure. There is a €14 entry fee per person. I understand that the fee is like an ecotourism fee to keep this area relatively cleaner than most. Everyone gets to ride in a boat that seats...More

We went to Capri back in Oct 2011 (sorry but no date range was available for the question "when did you visit" down below.) The optional tour we bought through some other site included this Blue Grotto experience which we did not know about until...More

We spent the day in Capri while on a private rented 30' cabin cruiser, so we were able to go into Anacapri for the Chair Lift then Capri for lunch and back to the boat to see if the Blue Grotto lines were long -...More

We weren't sure what to expect; but we were fortunate that on the day we went the Blue Grotto wasn't busy yet so our wait was less than 20 minutes. It is a bit pricey, but still worth it. When you get into the cave...More

Long Wait- boat politics here- they will take many boats that come after you- so be prepared to wait a long while. Inside- is 5 mins in and out- breathtaking - need flash.

If the weather and waters cooperate, you will have a chance to get into a rowboat and enter the Blue Grotto. If it's sunny, the color inside the cave/grotto will be at its most beautiful.

We waited atleast 10 minutes in our boat in line to peak into a little tunnel that really meant nothing to me or anyone else on the boat. Little pretty but not worth a dime. Boat ride is nice but to see nothing

We took a day trip ferry from Sorrento to Capri. Having landed in Capri, we found the Grotta Azzurra kiosk and paid 25 euros each and were told to queue up for the motor launch/water taxi - an open-topped boat. There are... More

I didn’t see any children that’s not to say they aren’t allowed. Although personally I wouldn’t - there are no life preservers, the little boats are a squeeze and it’s dark as anything.
