Incredible views await, and dizzying, vertigo-inducing heights. As thrilling as it is beautiful, it is difficult to stop taking pictures. Frequent stops are required, and a helpful low wall as handrail is thankfully present at all times. As high as the steps are, it only...More

We walked from the marina to the top of Anacapri via the stairs, and WOW, whatta hike!!! 1,000 steps up. We were the only people on the stairs the entire trip, so it’s not well traveled. But I would say that if you didn’t do...More

Nothing is flat so be prepared to walk up down and up (and up). Around every turn is a new wonderful view. Lots of surprises around every corner. Beware though it is busy, and hilly

900+ steps = worth it going up!!! OK - I can tell you that my wife and I disagree on this though going up the 900+ steps to the top was WORTH IT!! It is a great workout, though besides that, it was amazing. I...More

We took the bus up to Anacapri and took the stairs down after visiting Villa San Michele. It is worth it for the experience to say you did it. The steps themselves, being as old as they are, are uneven, broken, steep, deep, and narrow....More

We took the stairs after visiting the Villa Axel Munthe to get back to Marina Grande. The view you have when taking the stairs is incredible and definitely makes up for the physical exercise (although we went down so it was not that difficult). I...More

My main questions when reading review were: How painful? - It is hot, particularly in summer months. There are sections of shade but a lot is exposed. The satisfaction of reaching the top and views along the way are worth it! How Long? - 40...More

Instead of taking the bus back down to the harbor I decided to tackle the steps down, not for the faint hearted as there are nearly 1000 steps. The steps cling to the side of the mountain and provide spectacular views across the island and...More

If you are fit you will LOVE this! Although my 9 year old boy tramped right up it! Some of the steps are very STEEP, but it is so cool! The fun part is going under the road and then above that takes you right...More

I took the bus to Anacapri and walked down the Phoenician Steps , all 922 of them . Quite tricky as it had been raining and the steps were steep and deep and slippy . Fantastic views on the way down .

Hi, Sorry, I do not know that there exists a bakery at the bottom of the steps. If there exists one it's very hidden (or most probably it does not exist any more). Best GP
