Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pacem is not for everyone and honestly it’s not meant to be. It wasn’t created to be an exciting place but a place for reflection and tranquility. If you are looking for Disneyland definitely look somewhere else. To maintain the place they ask for volunteers and a small donation. This place was the dream of an artist and his wife. It features his art but it was his dream to share his oasis but people who seek it. I’m grateful for it. This place was always on the down low. Never seeking tourists. A place you would only find if your friends suggest it. It’s a place asking you to debrief from the chaotic of this world. I have brought many friends here and each experience their own peace. I have also come alone just to find my quiet. Not looking at your phone for the time here is not the worse thing to do. You might go away with more than you entered. Btw you can take a photo but are asked to spend first part of your time here without your phone. Probably a unique experience for a generation glued to phones. Enjoy the moment. Children are welcomed but as long as you make it clear to them it’s not a playground or hands on Museum but a place to ponder and respect. I always end the day with an ice cream at Bellvale Farm. Search it on Google.

Can’t believe that prior review. What kind of slob would say that. Its a park with sculptures. You need a waterslide too? Get a grip you sad provincial creature. I would applaud any effort these days for art/nature. Who do you think you are?

If you're in the area, Pacem in Terris is a lovely spot to visit. Meditate, reflect, or just walk through the grounds and experience the sculptures. A Garden with heart is what I'd call it, with a plea for peace and unity in the world. A beautiful spot.

First time trip advisor has led me astray with the positive reviews this place got
The last reviewer was right. Dont go unless you dont mind the following:
No dogs allowed
No kids allowed
You cant talk.... the sign says silence is expected
The walkways are treacherous so unless you are fit and agile you will break your neck
And we were covered with ticks after traipsing through the woods
Theres no parking well maybe 5spots
I could go on and on but i wont.
Just pass this one by

Not worth the trip. Overgrown weeds all around. Odd sculptures spread out in several places no overall theme. Do something else.

Very close to The Grange (a wonderful farm to table restaurant). Pacem is a wonderful, spiritually centering "peace on Earth" destination. If inclined, amidst the incredible artwork, you can recenter and revitalize. Peaceful, tranquil and refreshing. So grateful for this slice of heaven.

It's quite, bucolic, and a nice quick visit. I would not say that it is worth going out of the way for though. Finding it alone is tricky, as there is no prominent sign, and then parking is basically a guessing game since there is no official place to park.
Overall, if you are in the area and have free time, and it is pretty out, drop by and have a few peaceful minutes outside.

This makes a wonderful little pit stop. The venue for concerts is quite interesting, and the strange sculptures juxtaposed with the beautiful peaceful landscape makes for a lovely stroll. Just remember that it isn't a picnic stop but a place for a stroll and some quite meditation.

I don't know of another place quite like it, there are those who prefer Disney with a kiosk but you won't find it here. I find it ironic that these "ancients" dedicated their lives to this place and I see some negative reviews, amazing WOW they'd go off their cell phones and gadget long enough to review. I DO understand the "quiet" because DURING CONCERTS there have been phones and alarms going off. Awake people should not go to sleep, the darkness around us is deep. This is an art garden and a place of meditation and let's keep it that way. SSSSHHHHH I think it RELIES on word of mouth in a crazy world, Thank you Frederick and Claske for opening your home and hearts to us. PAH on the folks who don't get the point.

Friends brought us here to experience this place. We were all feeling stressed, and Pacem en Terris Sculpture Garden turned out to be just what we needed. The artist's thoughtful and inspiring works are displayed on both sides of the river. I recommend planning to move slowly through the grounds, as there is much to see and quite a bit to read. Walking shoes or sneakers are a must as the terrain is uneven in places and can be a bit slick with dampness from the surrounding vegetation and trees. This place is not for everyone and definitely not for children too young to understand or appreciate it.

This is a serene experience. Not like a hike for a dog or outing for a child. I've never seen anyone bring there dogs. Usually it's couples, singles and small quiet groups. It's a place that you'd want to keep as quiet and natural as possible to enjoy all the artwork. Hope this helps!

I have a 3 year old and want to get out of the house. Is this a place that is okay to bring kids?
