Has more of a "busy restaurant vibe" than a winery one.
Mar 2021
Based on other reviews I am hoping we visited on an "off weekend". When we arrived it was not overly crowded or busy enough to have the experience we did. We walked in to the bar area to ask about the tasting and the girl behind the bar was abrupt, and seemed like she was a bartender in a Chilis restaurant on a Saturday night rather than in a winery. She went through the prices of the tasting handed us a pencil and paper and told us to circle the ones we wanted. She put the glasses together-then kept asking us if were were ordering food. She barely finished a sentence with us before talking to the next person. We went in the main room, found seating that was socially distanced and began our tasting. There were two groups of maybe 7-8 in the room as well. They had a live performer playing the guitar and doing musical covers. That was a nice touch. We did enjoy a few of the wines available. My two biggest gripes were -they had severs in the main room but they could not take food or drink orders so if you wanted food or wine you had to go back and speak to the bar. We did go back to order a bottle and now there were three people behind the bar. All of them (including the original girl who helped us) were the exact same. Abrupt, not friendly and acted like they were more interested in talking to each other than the patrons. They also only had one restroom in that area so patrons using the restroom were mixed in with those ordering so unless you asked you would not know who was who. The live music saved this experience for us. When we go to a winery we like to feel like we are welcomed and appreciated not a "get em in get em out" restaurant mentality. Both my husband and I agreed this felt like a "rushed overly commercial" winery rather than a sit and relax one.

Incredible Wedding Experience!!
Sep 2020
Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but add a pandemic, change of venue location and the possibility of rain and it could be a recipe for disaster. Luckily none of those issues caused a problem for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding at Magnanini Winery. If someone asked me if I would recommend Magnanini for a wedding venue, on a scale of one to ten, they would get an 11+. I cannot even find the right words to express my gratitude for the way the wedding was handled. The level of professionalism, understanding and compassion was overwhelming; you would have thought it was their own daughter getting married. We originally booked the party with Taylor for inside the restaurant, but when the pandemic hit, we realized safely having a gathering would not be possible inside. Taylor quickly jumped into action to find a solution to our dilemma. It was decided that constructing a tent on their parking lot space was the only way to make this happen. Fast forward to the wedding day…With much luck and praying we had beautiful weather and the day was outstanding.

We began our day in the bridal suite that besides being beautiful, and accommodating with a bar area to serve food, it also a private bathroom. What really made it amazing was that it is was spacious enough for the girls to have hair and make-up done and get dressed before the bride was revealed to the groom. Afterwards, the groomsman all joined us in the bridal suite for a champagne toast before the ceremony (still plenty of room.) From this room, we could see the guests arriving, adding to the excitement. We then proceeded to the gardens where we all walked down the aisle, which was stunning; it made the pictures so breathtaking

Let’s talk about the menu. This was the hardest part of the wedding, with so many amazing dishes to choose from, it was hard to decide what to serve. The passed hors d’oeuvres at the cocktail hour were so delicious the wait staff never spent more than a moment serving, before they had to reload to serve again. Moving on to the reception, the salad was amazing but the pasta dish, superb. As someone growing up in an Italian household, you get used to eating homemade pasta and sauce. Magnanini not only offered that, it tasted like grandmas! The food was served family style and although it was plentiful, everyone wanted more. The pasta was so delicious that there was literally nothing left on any serving dish. I promise you this is true, as I walked to some of the tables hoping to get more and every single serving dish was empty. The next course of meats, potatoes and veggies was delicious too. At the end of the evening I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was also the Chef for the evening. I couldn’t find the words to thank him enough for the incredibly delicious dinner that was served. I can’t count the number of phone call and text messages I have received from my guests saying how wonderful the food, wait staff and ambiance was at Magnanini. I was thrilled to receive so many compliments on behalf of Magnanini!

Event planning is one of my roles at my place of employment, so I am fully aware of how vendors should be treating their guests. Taylor also knew that I did this for a living and she was totally respectful of the 1,000 questions that I asked. She was patient, understanding and genuinely concerned for the safety of my guests during the pandemic. But mostly she was concerned for my daughter and son-in-law’s happiness and helping them have the wedding of their dreams! There was not a detail that Taylor was not on top of. There are no words to express our gratitude for everything she did to make this the perfect day.

If this sounds like the wedding of your dreams go to Magnanini, see the beautiful grounds, talk to any of their staff, they are all amazing, try the delicious food and meet the amazing Taylor. I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Fabulous Sunday Funday with Family
Nov 2019 • Family
We had a marvelous time at Magnanini’s! I went with my sister and niece. We visited after church and had their one hour wine tasting in the tasting room downstairs then ventured to the dining hall for great food, music, and beverage. (We purchased 2 bottles at dinner). The people there are so nice too - both the Staff and the “Regulars”. My niece is friends with a family member and she’s been encouraging her to visit. I’ve had this on my list as well for 15 years! They did not disappoint! A must do.

A must visit!
Oct 2019 • Friends
Our group of 7 visited this winery and did the Saturday tasting and dinner combo. It may seem a bit pricey but worth it!
All the staff were superb, efficient, and friendly. A very nice gentleman (owner?) came by to each table which we felt was exceptionally nice.
Restrooms and entire place were clean.
We didn’t absolutely love the majority of the wines however we did buy a bottle to share for dinner.
The best part was the dinner itself!
We loved every one of the 6 course meals with the pasta being are favorite. It’s served family style and there is more than enough food.
The music was great too! Dancing is encouraged but not pressured.
When we are back in the area we will definitely stop by.

Fav wines : Bianco Riserva, Speing Blush, Rosso Da Tavola (purchased for dinner)

Beautiful view, great wine, and even when understaffed and busy, the employees worked with a smile and did an awesome job. We will definitely return!

Wonderful tasting experience
May 2019 • Friends
The winery was our last stop on the 2019 2-day wine & bites tour event. We visited 12 of the 15 wineries that participated in the event. Of the 12, there were only a few that we would return to. This was one of them.

We arrived shortly before they were closing the tasting room. We were warmly greeted by a very friendly young lady who was to do our pouring. She was very pleasant, very engaging and very focused on us. There was a little window on the side of the tasting room where food was being passed through. We got there too late as the kitchen was just closing.

The wine was very nice, the tasting room was plain but very fuctional. The tasting room is behind the main building and close to the parking lot. There's a patio area with tables so it's possible to have a tasting, buy a glass or bottle if wine, order food and sit outside. The vineyard is just to the side of the tasting room and directly next to the parking lot.

I have a feeling they are frequently used as a wedding venue.

For us, this was the perfect way to end our day. Just sorry we didn't arrive earlier. The food looked great.

We purchased a few bottles and a glass of wine to enjoy on the patio. Even though they were busy trying to close the tasting room, they never asked us to leave and didn't try to hurry us off the patio or the property.

This is worth a second visit.

What a great little find

Really didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful grounds. Wine tasting (8 in all) at 6:00 PM with appetizers. At 7 PM you begin your 6 course meal served over 4 hours including music to dance by. ($48 each which is reasonable for what your getting). This is not for younger people. We got up only once or twice to dance as weren't familiar with the steps for the type of music they were playing. Enjoyed everything that was served. Especially the pasta, which is supposedly home made. Very helpful and pleasant staff. We explained that we had a long drive home, so the waitress served us our coffee and cake, along with our check earlier in the evening so we could get back on the road. Was thoroughly appreciated! Would definitely recommend.

Party with friends
Oct 2017
Wonderful friendly place. Traveled from NYC to upstate to the winery with group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. We had the best time with a band playing and all of us dancing to the music. We were all in the restaurant waving our napkins in the air to the music. The food was great but the atmosphere even better

On Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons, Magnanini Winery has a dinner/lunch with a small band, a large dance floor and great, friendly service. It was our first time there with friends who have been there before. The location is picturesque, the food was abundant and surprisingly good and the old-time mostly Italian (some Polka and Tango) music was great. Mostly older couples who grew up on this music didn't sit down the entire afternoon. were several families with young children who surprised us by obviously having a great time dancing with their siblings, parents and grandparents. It's not inexpensive but well worth a very different and fun afternoon.
