I brought my son, who has disabilities, with me to see the Rockefeller estate, Kykuit. The person selling Kykuit tour tickets immediately wanted to know if I could "control" him because he might "disturb" others on the tour. When I e-mailed a complaint, the person...More

I love touring old homes and this place is amazing. Both the home and the gardens are exceptional. The Rockefellers were art collectors and much of their collection is on display. The views are awe inspiring. The tour is well run with a bus from...More

The tour is well organized. The shuttle ride is about 15 minutes, so the Classic tour, of 2 1/4 hours, is really 1 3/4 hours, which is plenty for the average person. In fact, I would have been fine skipping the auto barn. The docent...More

They're closed on Monday, but can buy tickets at the gift shop any other day. They had a senior, student and kid under 17 discount. We did the last tour of the day and it was an express tour. We really enjoyed it!

Beautiful home with gorgeous gardens even when nothing was in bloom (will come back in the spring). Our tour guide Linda was very informative and energetic. Incredible art pieces, and the barn with the old horse carriages and old cars were great to see!
