Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yummy oils I try to get a different flavor each time I visit. They have so many flavors its hard to choose. You can sample any flavor and they aren't pushy sales people. They will help you with suggesting combinations if you ask.

I love a rich tasting extra virgin olive oil. This place has exactly that! My wife said it was bitter. I loved it! Beautiful color, rich in flavor.

This is a terrific little shop! They have every possible flavor of olive oil. One can wander through the store and taste the different oils, vinegars, etc. I was once given a helpful tip on a filet mignon recipe as I was making a purchase ( filet with a chocolate balsamic glaze). There is also a store in Lake Placid, NY, which I visited 2 weeks ago while on a fall foliage tour. Definitely a must visit for foodies!

We stopped at the Saratoga Olive Oil Company to check it out after seeing a story about it in the newspaper. There are a large variety of olive oils from all over the world and they allow you to taste their different products before you make a purchase, so that is very nice. They buy the oils in bulk and then bottle them on site. We tried 4 or 5 products and really did not find anything special. The prices are very high: $15 to $20 for 375ml. They also have quite a few balsamic ‘condemento’ products. I asked the salesperson what that meant and was told that this allowed one to add these products to many different foods. My memory is that real high quality Balsamic vinegar has the wording, "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena" and that ‘condemento’ is not as high quality and could have other flavors added, or be a mix of high quality and lower quality vinegars. In terms of olive oil, you would get much better value from a good quality olive oil bottled in the country of origin and sold for about $20 for a 750ml to one litre bottle. This can be purchased in an upper-end food store or an Italian Deli. The better ones are not blends and specifically state that that 100% of the olive oil is from the country of origin.

Yesterday was an extremely snowy day in Saratoga Springs, School was canceled, roads were messy. My daughter & I were in town for 24 hours & had previously looked up the information on the Saratoga Olive Oil Company & were excited about visiting the store. I had called the store numerous times before checking out of my hotel & had not gotten anyone to answer. We were disappointed to say the least but understood considering the winter weather. We had taken a walk on Broadway before driving home, walked by the store & Clint was walking in (the store had a closed sign up). We asked if we could come in & he was incredibly gracious & helpful. We told him we weren’t local & how much we had looked forward to shopping there. He let us in gave us a quick education on Olive Oil & exotic salts, we made our purchases as quick as possible as technically the place was closed. We bought some wonderful Christmas gifts. Thanks again Clint!!

This is a wonderful specialty shop. There are countless varieties of olive oil flavor, from bacon to raspberry! Also noteworthy was the bourbon maple syrup, which a staff member pointed out to us. There are also various spices, some pasta and my personal favorite was the olive oil soap selection!
