Whenever we stay at Seneca Allegany Resort we always take a ride through the park. Many excellent spots to stop and enjoy the Views. Very Peaceful and Relaxing.

One of the few parks open year round for those of us who love the outdoors. Multiple great choices for accommodations, from rustic tent sites to RVs and basic cabins up to fully equipped cottages. Great for family and friends and groups of all sizes spread out throughout a huge and highly forested area. Plenty of trails designated for year round hiking and biking, as well as cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and areas for snow mobiles as well. I even saw plenty of ice fishers last weekend.

This is a great get-away with your family, friends or just yourself. We have been camping here for decades. From when we didn't have kids with tons of friends to when we all have kids and now dogs too. Our trip has grown from about 20 of us to enough of us to buy out the whole Bova trail. The weather has been from extremely cold to extremely muddy but in any event the trip was a huge success. Our kids are now adults who still love to sled, when there's snow, or just hang with friends when there isn't snow. Either way, there's always a walk about the mountain trails that proves to be breathtaking and relaxing. Our next visit is Jan. 2020.....can't wait!

Allegany State Park has hiking trails for all levels of ability. From a leisurely walk around Red House Lake to long hikes on well-groomed cross-country ski trails, to long rugged hikes uphill to Mt. Tuscarora or Beehunter Trail, to places of interest like the Bear Caves or Thunder Rocks, to the long sections of the North Country and Finger Lakes Trails, ASP has something for everyone.
