This is a historical location, with people dressed in period clothes, willing to teach you the history of the building. They have home goods, penny candy, a toy room in the back, and books written by local authors upstairs. A great place to visit.
Closes early, I think 5:00 pm most days so get here early. People seem to flood the tiny store around 4:30 so don't be one of them. If you want to enjoy your browsing get here somewhat earlier and take your time without being jostled....More
Loved the old tins, stoneware and bottles that line the shelves. It sets the mood to the way things were. Check out the counter. Has lots of 'gift' items but the organization that maintains it needs the $$$ to keep it running.
Billed as maybe the oldest continuously run country store in the US, this was an interesting place to visit. Much like Kelly's Country Store on Grand Island, NY, this place is filled with lots of penny-candy, souvenirs, interesting toys, Christmas decorations, and more...some old-fashioned things...More
This store is so much fun to visit. Full of history and little knick knacks. Definitely have to stop by here if you're in town. Tons of little gifts to pick up and choose from. Also have a wonderful array of candy.
