We were pleased to find the Lighthouse open as our visit to Sodus this day (Monday) found it closed. A great educated staff with extensive knowledge of the property. We took the tour and climbed the stairs. Be aware that after the stairs there is...More

We love to visit lighthouses. The gift shop was closed though I would love to have a mug from our visit there. My daughter and I smelled lilacs in bloom on the grounds around the lighthouse even though lilacs wouldn't have blossomed for another 3...More

This little lighthouse is a real gem. Great and easy location.I live in south Florida, but i like to always check in the lighthouse from time to time. They do tours on-site, and it's a nice little piece of history.

Hard to get into and not very kid friendly. Was interesting and the Docents are very knowledgeable. Was in the Movie Lady in White. Spooky and something to do in Charlotte during the beach riots.

Taking a step back in time and realizing how far back the shoreline in the Greater Rochester area used to come. This historical marker is located behind the Holy Cross Church with easy access during the summer months. Enjoy the scenery and the warm breeze!

We were lucky enough to visit the lighthouse on a recent trip to Rochester. The hours are somewhat limited, especially in the fall, so it's best to check the website before going. We could not go up into the lighthouse itself because new railings are...More
