Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being from the Left Coast, we make it a priority to revisit the Beekman Arms Antiques Emporium on every trip to the Hudson Valley. This was the first Upstate Antiques Shop that impressed my wife, who's become a fan of unique artifacts, so much so, every new New England village or Hamlet we come across, we're hunting down the next local Beekman. The Emporium is tucked behind the Beekman Arms Inn, in a 2 Story Red Wooden Building. Staff make themselves readily available to assist you and to help you view up close pieces locked and secured in locked cases. What my wife appreciated most, is they remembered us, even, having visited some 11 months ago. There's Troves of unique pieces and "stuff", amassed by a number of collectors, ensuring, you'll be kept busy trying to view every piece and maybe like us, visualizing how they were employed in daily life. For those who seldom see an Antiques Store, think of the Beekman as Disneyland, on a small scale and a few hours, genuinely well spent being educated about early Americana!

This antique store is located in my companion's favorite town, Rhinebeck, near two of our favorite restaurants, the Beekman Arms and Foster's. So every time we dine at either of these establishments, we find time to peruse the antique market. She always finds a little treasure there, which encourages us to come back again and again.

This last time I did notice a shelf of fairly good quality Civil War books, which I had not observed before. They usually stock some paintings and lithographs of New York City and Rhinebeck, interesting old books and ledgers, and feature an entire display case of clocks that delight you when they all chime at once. You will find old games and game boards, but no automobilia. The only license plates I ever saw were cut and fused into art pieces; both were gone since the last time we visited. There is a good selection of costume and fine jewelry. My companion admired an amethyst necklace, but with a price tag of nearly $2,000 she determined it was lovely, but not suitable for her infrequent use of fine jewelry.

We did not ask for anything but the usual discount, but one customer wanted to “deal.” The staff could not make decisions for the owner of the merchandise, but I heard her make several phone calls to the dealers in order to submit the offer from the customer, or to ask for any price adjustments.

The staff is very friendly and there to assist evening these crazy times. Loved the booths and the variety you could find there. Prices reasonable and all around a great place to seek out treasure.

Well laid out and you never know what you'll find. Every couple of months, we stroll through the store and always for things to buy that takes us back.

We were enjoying town when we stumbled upon this Antique Market. Very nicely kept and managed it has numerous alcoves with different vendors offering their collections. My wife enjoys antique stick pins and was able to find a number that she added to her collection. Two floors so be prepared to walk up the stairs if you want to see the offerings up there. An enjoyable experience and we would surely visit again if in the area.

It is a pleasure to shop here. The store is large and open, items are well displayed and NOT cramped and dusty like most antique shops. We found unique items and a nice mix of contemporary pieces for a reasonable price. Super for vintage jewelry and some really nice cast iron decorations. I will come back to see what's new and buy some more.

Oh my goodness. I have never seen so much well maintained beautifully displayed stuff. It is a history lesson in and of itself. Especially if you think of the mansions and historic villages it must have come from. The items are all first rate and reasonably priced. I would plan to spend at least an hour just looking. They do take credit cards. The staff is very friendly and don't mind you touching. This is a first class affair not a junk shop. Of course you are going to pay a reasonable price for the really good stuff so be prepared or get your best look at least. But there is something for everyone so you shouldn't leave empty handed. This is a repeat destination. And you can go to the post office, park right in front of the market, and eat lunch at the Inn. The building is off the street behind the inn follow the signs between the post office and the Inn. There are two floors. I do recommend for home schooling this is museum quality items that you can touch. But not for toddlers unsupervised some things are dangerous.

This place is not for us. Listen to the other negative reviewers on g00gle, they’re not exaggerating at all. I thought “I’ll give it a try anyway!”, but quickly learned those negative reviews were very accurate. I would go into detail about my families experience, but I don’t have the kind words to explain it lol.

The items available in this 2 story ancient barn are NUMEROUS! From truly antiques to many items that would just be considered 2nd hand. Most with reasonable prices. These items are on consignment from multiple people/companies in the Hudson River area. Many prices are NEGOTIABLE! Others are listed as firm. Sometimes visitng here is just the experience of looking! Bring CASH. There is an ATM just outside. credit/debit cards NO discounts. Cash discounts available. ASK!
