Evergreen Cemetery (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) was established in 1851 and is a park-like rural cemetery that overlooks the Susquehanna River and the village. You can take a self guided walking tour along the terraced terrain and admire the towering majestic trees, varied flora, stone fences and graves that range from ornate to modest. A panoramic view from the Sa-Sa-Na Loft Monument completes the scene. Very peaceful.
