Edit: I’ve seen most replies to the reviewers are that you guys are rated 4.5 stars so your guest who didn’t have a good time or disagree is irrelevant basically; but lemme tell ya, idc if you guys are rated “4.5” or even 5 stars- it’s not hard to be highly rated when we have such little options here in NY for kids especially. I went here with an open mind and high expectations and it sucked. I’d give this place 0 stars for your attitude after reading your responses to others.
I was so excited to come here today, I woke up early and headed out.. but nothing has changed here besides the prices and it was super smelly everywhere. I mean it’s great if your 15 and under or have kids. Highly over priced alcohol beverages with like LITERALLY 1% alcohol added and it’s the cheapest you can buy (Barton’s rum). The mixers come from cartons…. Which is… DISGUSTING and again, cheap! Yet a 8oz small cup (which is what you get when you buy an alcoholic bev there) is 9.50$ each. 10.50 for the same size cup but a wine slushy (the wine comes from a MF pouch not even a bottle or box) There are maybe 25 rides overall - with 3 new rides after like idk 18 years. Not worth 30$ a person, especially if your 18+. I’ll be going to great escape where I can at least leave the park and come back if needed. Unless you have a pass or bracelet thing you can’t even run to your car once you hand in your tickets. Before today, I hadn’t been there since 2018 and nothing has changed- except the prices and the music is now awful country music. Would not recommend to anyone unless you have kids or you are a kid.
I’ll be going to well, anywhere else next year. What a waste of money, time, and gas.
I also do not support water safari after seeing a bunch of reviews and complaints about how peoples special needs children and disabled peoples were treated here. 0/10

We go every single year, usually a bunch of us and this year was no exception. Prices have really gone up but ok no biggy everything else in the world has also.
But when you pay what I did you want a good experience and it was not. There were way to many people. Every person in my party said the exact same thing- “I have never ever seen this many people”. Isn’t there some way to limit the number of people entering? Lines were so long that you waited an hour at times to ride a water attraction. It was just packed beyond packed!

I used to go here when I was a little girl, I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I went back to Enchanted Forest, and I am now 32 years old. I think that there should be a limit to the amount of people that are allowed in the park. The time I spent there was not as enjoyable because of the fact that 3/4 of the time that I was there I had to wait in long lines. I also had to take a shuttle bus to the park, because I had to park my car 1 mile away from the park.

This park used to be amazing, we had season passes every year. Not anyone, it went way down hill this year and didn't stay. The new security and cooler ruled were a problem, then sent my husband back to the car parked forever away twice because he had the cooler we always bring and a multi-tool in his pocket. The lazy river was closed, which is always the place we spend most of our time. The water in the lower lazy river was extremely cold, not heated as it had been previously. We could only find 1 chair fie a family of 4 and had a septic smell all over the lower park. The drink dispensers we overpaid for weren't working at the lower park. We went on 3 rides and left.

Met the grands and their mom here for the day. They are ages 9-15. All of them enjoyed the park, a first-time visit for them. They especially liked the Water Safari. /// The park is small enough that we felt we could comfortably let the kids go off on their own, periodically checking in with the adults. Some things we joined them in doing. // Nice-looking picnic area. Many places to grab a lounge chair to relax and take a load off the feet. // The entertainment is definitely for the young, not necessarily for teens. There seemed to be plenty of supervision throughout the park.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The Enchanted Forest is near and dear to our hearts, our extended family have been visiting for decades and we finally got the chance to take our 10 year old and his friends. To say they had the time of their life would be an understatement. This place is always clean and the staff are extremely friendly, going out of their way to make sure you are having a great time. Special thank you to Andre, our cabana server, who was extremely attentive and a joy to meet. Enchanted Forest Water Safari is the perfect mix of classic activities and new, exciting water rides. We had the best time and can't wait to go back!

We traveled to Old Forge just to go to this attraction. We had great weather and the park was not all that crowded. No long lines (we went on a Thursday) and that was great so we could fit more into our day.
We pre-purchased tickets at our local Credit Union (near Rochester, NY) so we saved about $8 or so.
There are attractions for all ages from babys and toddlers to the most daring adults, which makes this a great place for families to come.
My 6 year old loved Tadpole Hole and my 7 year old loved the Pygmy Kiddie Slides which offer a really fast and thrilling ride for the slightly older crowd.
My husband, 6 and 10 year olds LOVED the Shadow and most of the other larger rides. As a family we really enjoyed the Amazon which was inviting for the entire family.
The carnival type rides were old but well kept and there was a very generous amount of time allowed on the bumper cars which were true to tradition! Again, there were rides for all ages and daredevil levels. No huge roller coasters or high tech rides but rather the old style fun thrill rides.
The rentals were a bit expensive (stroller, wagon, locker) but we managed to not buy any food (which was very expensive) and only rented one locker.
This park was well worth the admission and for the day, we forgot any of our every day issues and had a real blast that we will all remember for years to come.
We will definitely return.
I highly recommend this park.

I have been going to Old Forge since I was born on vacation. This is a great water park! They heat the water a little too!
I love Black River and the "lazy" river in the back of the park.
If you go after 3 pm, you get a voucher to return the next day for free!
Also, I don't think the prices for food are bad. You can bring in you own, there are picinic areas all over the place!
Make sure to take the traditional photo with Paul Bunyan! :)

Spent a day and a half at the Enchanted Forest Water Safari with my children and had a wonderful time. The park has numerous water rides that were all up and running and in great condition. The water rides range in intensity from two lazy river inner tube rides to the "Killer-Manjaro" slide which drops you down a hill at a very high rate. In between there are tube rides which all of my family (5 in all) could ride in one tube at the same time. The park also has an area for the little ones to enjoy. This children's area includes two water slides and a tube ride plus two wading pools for the kids. My four year-old son spent hours going down the various slides and splashing in the pool.
There are no restrictions on bringing food and drink into the park. There were many people who brought large coolers on wheels into the park presumably filled with drinks and food for the whole family. The food offered at the park is typical amusement park fare and is pretty expensive.
The park has an abundence of life guards on duty at all times. The wave pool had four guards on duty at all times and each of the large water slides had a lifeguard at the bottom.
I bought my tickets on-line and spent $23 for each adult ticket and $20 for each of my kids' tickets. This is probably the best amusement park value around. You get so much for your money. We were there until close both days and the kids never got bored and always had something fun to do. The lines at the rides were short and some slides had no lines at all.
The park also offers some non-water rides such as the Tilt-O-Whirl, a ferris wheel, cars that the kids can drive, etc. My kids rode these rides and had a great time also.
This park is one of the best my family and I have been to. The only reason I am not giving it a rating of "excellent" is because I gave that rating to Disney's Magic Kingdom, and this park is not quite up to the Disney standard, but it is close.

They keep cutting their operating hours but keep raising ticket prices. Ridiculous. Why are we paying more to spend less time in the park? They've cut their operating hours by an entire hours in 2018. Very disappointing! The dry rides especially are old and badly need replacing. A new water ride besides the lame Walter's Wild Slide would be appreciated, too. Improve and expand or fail miserably, Water Safari.

We're very sorry you are disappointed that we have cut our hours. We are a relatively small family-owned business trying to continue our 40 year legacy. Unfortunately, New York State is a difficult state to do business in these days with minimum wage increasing every year and increasing labor regulations as well as all other continuing rising costs. We simply could not continue to stay in business if we didn't make some difficult decisions. Cutting our hours is one of them. We are open approximately 83 days a year, yet we have over 40 families that make their livings from our business 365 days a year. If we did not stay in business the incomes of all of those people would be in jeopardy as well as the economics of our small town, where all of our employees spend that income. At our current gate rates, I strongly believe we still offer the best value of any Park in New York State. There is so much more that goes into these decisions.
Again, I am very sorry you are disappointed, cutting our hours very slightly was a necessary business decision that I hope you will respect. We do not take any of these decisions lightly. I hope you will continue to support us and all family-owned businesses in New York State. (The only other amusement park of our size in NYS that is family-owned is Seabreeze in Rochester, the others are all owned by large corporations). Without the support of loyal guests like you, parks such as ours will cease to exist. Thank you for reading this and for your understanding.

We went to enchanted forest last year and we love it. Only issue is it rips my feet apart with all the concrete, and a lot of rides you cant wear water shoes. What do people do to prevent this?
Written 23 June 2019
Where water shoes or flip flops that you can take off near the rides

Yes, but it is large and might be harder for those with handicaps.
