Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Meeting Anne and her family of animals has been such a great experience! I've visited three times so far because I just can't get enough! The llamas, horses, goats, donkeys, geese, chickens, ducks...I could go on! They're all so friendly - my kids (ages 11 and 13) easily handle the llamas and horses. Anne is a wonderful guide - she is so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. Can't wait to return!

Moose River Farm was a delightful visit. Petting turkeys, llamas, horses, donkeys, geese, and chickens and goats. Enjoyed the trail leashed llamas, and learning all the fun names in the farm.
The owner and tour guide was so informative and you can tell she really knows her farm animals. They are well taken care of and pretty plump! Good sign!

Went to Moose River Farm yesterday with my 2 daughters and had tons of fun. Anne is super friendly and so are her many animals. One of my personal favorites was Cappuccino the goose. We met all of the animals in the barn, brushed the donkeys, and had a great time on the llama trek. Definitely do the trek! Anne took tons of photos for us, and we made memories to last a lifetime. Can't wait to go back again!

If you are at all thinking about visiting Moose River Farm, do it!! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was such a great experience that I had to! Anne is wonderful and so are all of her animals. My family and I (all adults) visited in December and the farm was gorgeous. Anne first walked us around to meet her animals- they were all obviously comfortable with humans and were some of the friendliest animals we had ever met. We met the sweetest horses and donkeys, and a goose with so much personality we were still talking about him days later! Then Anne took us on a beautiful walk through her trails with her llamas and donkeys and she was more than happy to take some pictures for us. It was absolutely worth the money and was the highlight of our trip to the Adirondacks. Next time we are in Old Forge we will absolutely be back! Thank you Anne!

My wife wanted to do this and I was less than sceptical. I was concerned this was commercially oriented and not in the animals best interest. I was completely wrong. I enjoyed every minute of this adventure. Anne did a fantastic job informing us of the animals. She must have been an incredible teacher. The animals were well taken care of and LOVED so much. I actually felt an attachment with my llama as we walked thru a well kept shaded trail. Bang for the buck, I'd rate this a 10 of 10. The animals were great and Anne herself did an incredible job. I really enjoyed walking with the llama's. Thank you Anne.

This is a must if your in the area! The animals are great, the Llama trek is super fun. Great family outing and an experience my kids have talked about all day and can’t wait to get home to tell their friends. Ann is also a great, friendly and very knowledgeable host.

It was a perfect fall morning to visit this farm. The animals all have their own personalities and you can tell how much Anne loves them. The llamas were well behaved and easy to walk with. Easau, one of horses, gave me a little shoulder massage & Cappuccino, the goose, is a flirt. A very reasonable price for an unforgettable experience. Notes - you take a short dirt road to get there & be sure to wear sneakers/boots. Thank you Anne for sharing this special place.

Went today for a farm tour. We were able to meet all the animals - llamas, goats, horses, donkeys, geese and chickens. Anne was a wonderful host and very knowledgeable. We spent about 45 minutes touring the barn. I brought my special needs daughter and all the animals were gentle and calm around her. I highly recommend this hidden gem! The llama hikes sound interesting and is on my bucket list.

This was such an amazing afternoon for our family! Anne’s farm and property is beautiful and the animals were all so friendly! My 6 and 8 year old loved the trek and tour! We will be back to old forge just to come back to Moose River Farm. This is a must for animal and nature lovers. Llamas are so lovable!!!
