We saw the falls from the top then hiked to the bottom for more views. Muddy, steep trail but even we two seniors could do it. This state park is the one to visit.

We went to Mine Kill on a bit of a whim. The drive through the Schoharie Valley along the creek was beautiful. The park itself was amazing: public pools, disc golf, well maintained trails, boat ramp, kayaking, and clean restrooms. Most surprising may have been...More

On Route 30, watch for the sign that says Mine Kill Falls Overlook. Pull in and park, and take the 1 minute walk to the overlook! Breath-taking view of a natural wonder!

It was a 20-30 minute walk to the top of the falls from the parking lot near the pools. There is another entrance that has a shorter trail. Trail was very well marked.
