Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my third or fourth time at this preserve and like usual, I ride my bike down here on the cross county green belt. I highly recommend coming here. It’s great! The lake is the highlight and is amazing with plenty of geese and swans.

I rode my bike through the preserve, and overall I think that the preserve is a beautiful addition to Massapequa.

Do not use the paved bike path too crowded and bikes move too fast. Walk the greenbelt trail marked with the white flash marks on the trees. It runs from Merrick Rd for miles all the way to Cold Spring Harbor. Amazing, diverse, quiet. Some of the trees in this preserve have probably grown here undisturbed for over 400 years.

The massapequa preserve has a walking trail/bike path that is serene with beautiful idea of the lake and foliage. I walked it today to experience the Autumn leaves and foliage.

My fav place to run! No matter what season it’s always beautiful.
You never know what you will see, turtle, swan, osprey diving for fish, or a rabbit scurrying by. Whether you are running, biking or walking in the preserve you are sure to have a smile on your face😃

Best place to ride/jog! Now that spring is here I live on this trail. When The weather warms up I’ll bring my kids out with me to ride.

I explored Massapequa Preserve for the first time last month and I was not disappointed. It was a very chilly day so I couldn't walk around that much but saw lots of waterfowl and it was beautiful! I recommend hiking boots since it is very rustic! Look forward to going back in warmer weather!

I've passed this place so many times on Sunrise Highway I almost can't believe it. We parked all the way on the end of the train parking lot. There was an entrance to the preserve over there. Really nice little pond, lots of wildlife, nice trails, bridges. Will definitely go back!

A little bit of heaven in the middle of Massapequa. We take our dog here for a walk, ride our bikes on the path. Chipmunks, birds, rabbits, snakes, and other creatures live here. It's a beautiful place to escape.
