Normally I go for dry white wines, but glad to have visited Shalestone Vineyards to learn about and try their red wines, which is all they produce. My favorite was the Red Legend - a good red blend. Pleasant, patient, and informative sommelier. Great prices...More

Shalestone had by far the best wine on our tour! They were nice enough to open early for us one time we got there a little early to get our wine before just before we left.

Came to wine country really looking for a drinkable red wine. We were advised to drop by Shalestone. So glad we did. These are truly good red wines. Try the Wowzas - Pinot is great.

We have visited Napa Valley and the Sonoma Valley numerous times. When visiting the Finger Lake region, several people told me to try some of the NY reds. I laughed and went up 414 mainly to humor them. When we stopped at Shalestone, we found...More

Shalestone is a small winery on the east side of Seneca Lake. The building can be easy to miss, but once you try their wines you won't miss this place ever again. Every one of their reds are excellent. It's a small tasting room and...More

Traveling by and noticed the "Open" sign and had to turn around and go back! Great wine! The owner's daughter was our "server" and she is wonderful! Met 3 women traveling the "wine trail" that were awesome! Can't wait to go there again! ♥

There are only four reviews in Tripadvisor now and the only review not rated "Excellent" still says "great wines". It's strange to me that "great wines" resulted in a "Poor" rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and confirm that the wines are exceptional. The proprietor...More

Our experience here with the employee serving us was not great, as the conversation became a bit political and uncomfortable. However, setting that aside, the wine is great!! Some great reds to purchase and take home to sip on with a nice meal.

We stopped in for a quick tasting. Don't quote me, but I believe its around the typical $5 for 6 tasting. Small vineyard, tasting was ran by the owner/partner of some sort. Said he had been doing it a few years, and explained his process....More

We have passed this winery every year when we are visiting the Finger Lakes area. The vineyard looks small and actually, there is nothing that really draws your eye to this place....so we have never stopped here to taste the wines. We have never had...More
