While traveling through the Ny Amish trail, we decided to visit an Alpaca gift shop. Alpaca fur is quite soft and makes great clothing and accessories. We found Cardinal Acre on the GPS and followed the path. A few back roads and a dirt trail later and we found ourselves at Cardinal Acre, We pulled up to the small gift shop to find Sue the owner loading the trailer for an upcoming show. We excused ourselves for stopping by unannounced, and Sue was wonderfully accommodating. She immediately dropped what she was doing and explained all about Alpacas while showing us to the barn. She introduced all her female Alpacas while discussing how they are raised and cared for. Once done, we went outside to the pen and Sue let us feed her Alpacas. This was wonderful fun as they are gentle, soft and amazing animals. We also stopped by to see the male Alpacas, then heading into the small gift shop. Sue had all sorts of great Alpaca items, and each of us was able to find the perfect gift. It was a wonderful time, and I can't say more about the place or Sue. Thank you again for an unexpected adventure.
