Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quiet Isolated white sand crystal clear water Natural Beach best for a day Picnic No Hotels ,No B&Bs , only locals village nearby, fishermen , many jelly fish whiles swimming great for snorkeling .
Public bus from Konde town is only available from 9am to 3pm !!
From Konde you will first pass Ngezi Forest on your way to the beach! at Konde town there unoffical car taxi to Chake chake ask the locals for trustable drivers and motorcycles aka bodaboda can take you back to Wete or Chakechake .Also from Konde town public buses are available upto 4 :30pm.
Do come with your own food and drinks its a public beach but with no restaurants,no BBs no hotels nearby just conserved natural the way it has been all along!!!You need to see it to believe it!

I had a great swim and met some locals. They were happy to have my old Economists and practice their English. If you go on a weekday, you'll find it largely deserted. On a weekend, you're going to be welcomed by the many locals.

It took me a while to find this hidden place. Thanks to my hosts. I was amazed at how clean this place was and the clear waters.

A lovely place to spend an afternoon or morning. Stunning beach, white sand, calm, blue seas, only really visited by locals.

Safe and nice
Perfect for picnicking and a swim
A lot of rubbish around
Short drive from main town
Be sure to take plenty of bottled water as you are no where near civilization.
A day here is great particularly for young children .

many will argue with me here but a visit to Vumawimbi Beach in North Pemba myself was astonished, firtly the difference between Pemba and Unguja(So famously known Zanzibar ) is that Pemba is A REAL island not connected to Africa continent ,while Unguja is just an underwater extension of African continent ,second Nungwi beach has crystal clear water because of most corals and stones that was removed from its beach, but Vumawimbi on the other hand is naturally crystal clear beach ,few tourist know of this natural beach so far from busy life of city .Best way to get here is from Mkoani Port or Chakechake airport is to hire private car ,although public buses are available but will take forever for you to reach there as from 4pm almost all public buses are closing , start your trip early 7am to there,my best advice.hope you enjoy and watch out for many jelly fish in the beach
