One of my favorite hikes near Old Forge. I'd recommend taking the blue trail to the top, and the yellow trail down. Perfect place to have lunch at the top!

Trail from Uncas Road was in good shape. Trail to Seventh lake was blocked by a fence for the trail to Rocky Point. Seventh lake trail had newly blue paint and ribbons from long ago. The trail had blow down and was non existent in...More

We did this as a snowshoe/micro spike hike. There was plenty of snow... The trailhead parking in the winter is along Route 28 - there is only room for 2, maybe 3 cars so arrive early. With Route 28 to your back - the trailhead...More

This mountain is very convenient to the town of inlet. The views are great. It has some very steep parts to it at the end. The easier version of the trail is very long. Not really good for small children.

Great hike in the ADK. Gives you a good workout with a challenge. Take hike every year with children, started when they were 5yrs. But they complete every time. Great family fun and memories made.

We took the back way up, using the trail from Uncas Rd. It was nice, a very gradual grade with no super strenuous parts. The view on the top is beautiful.

The trek up to the summit can be a bit strenuous in places, but it is so worth the effort! Went here with teen son during camping trip and was glad we did. Make sure to have a good pair of boots, as you're feet...More

At about five miles round-trip, it is the perfect 2-3 hour hike. It offers enough of a challenge to work up a light sweat so you feel like you've earned the beautiful views from the top.

If you have a couple hours, this is worth the hike. If you take the route from Route 28, it's a really fun hike. It gets very muddy after it rains so I recommend wearing boots and your water-proof clothes. It gets very steep and...More

Can get REALLY muddy when it rains. Takes a little bit of hiking through trees to get to mountain's base before ascsending. Would not recommend small children on this one. Go to Rocky Point on Mt.'s left. Nice at top, view pretty good, but not...More

No. Would not suggest Black Bear and stroller. Could you put the kid in a front carry sack?
