Olana SHS is near Hudson, NY. Great views of the Hudson River, nice flower gardens and filled with local history. Tours are well worth the money and most informative. Worth the visit.

Fascinating mansion by one of the Hudson River painters - this Moorish architecture is beautful and the setting over the Hudson is breathtaking. Frederic Church, the artist, painted from his view and it's stunning.

Original paintings in the original house of Frederick Church. Excellent guided tour. The view from the house of the Hudson River is worth the trip. Beautiful gardens. Cute store. I’ve been twice and I plan to return.

This place is awesome. So many trail to hike and things to see. Exploring the grounds of this place was amazing! The art work is beautiful, the garden was gorgeous, I definitely want to come back here again soon!

They are sticky about having a reservation and limiting the number of people on a guided tour. I lucked out. Docent knew a lot, and was open to questions. Tour included all floors so public rooms, private rooms and servant working areas. Great views of...More
