Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The wine is wonderful and the owner is very knowledgable. The Merlot is rather unique, as my wife liked it, and she does not like any other Merlot. He focuses on his fruit wines, which are sweeter, but has some exceptional sparkling and dry wines as well. I could spend hours just chatting with Patrice and his sister. They are both a delight to talk with and full of information regarding wines. My wife and I returned for a second visit this last week and almost went for a third, not to purchase more wine, as we already purchased plenty from here, but to enjoy the good conversation. It was as if I were talking to an old friend.

Visited this small winery on a whim...no fancy tour, no canned speach...a nice little winery that does everything the European way without adding corn syrup! We recently visited Europe and were impressed about the cleaness and crispness of these wines. I don't like fruit wines because they are way too sweet but these fruit wines are OUTSTANDING!

Oh the winemaker/server! Oh the champagnes!! What a selection of QUALITY wines and champagnes!! The French owner talked to us and educated us for an hour. We were the only one's there on a Friday. He teaches his stuff at a university and wine-making has been in his French family for 400 years. I never liked reds before so I thought. It was the oak that I disliked and the tannins that gave me a head ache---so I learned. So I liked and bought my first bought my first bottle of red ever! Look forward to returning.

My review is on their wine-pinot noir, not the vineyard itself. My husband and I decided to give it a try after encountering this seller at Union Square Farmer's market and we bought two bottles. When we returned home and tried their pinot noir, oh god, let's just say that it is not good at all. I do not want to be mean and say it is absolutely terrible and undrinkable but it is very close for that. My husband is a sommelier by the way and he has tasted many wines, but this one both of could not drink. The taste is just way off. It tastes like a cooking wine and that is what it is going to be used for.
Lastly, maybe the vineyard is great but after trying their pinot noir, I would not go there and taste their wines.

Stopped in November 30th, 2017 on the recommendation of our B&B owner. Liked the people and bought a number of bottles but when we had the Pinot Noir the other day, we were very disappointed. Ended up throwing away 3/4 of the bottle.

Small but interesting winery. It sits on a hill off the highway, you have to look for it. Well worth the visit.

Stopped here on our way to our hotel. It is a smaller building but am glad we stopped. The gentleman in the winery was very friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate to stop here.

Everyone here is so helpful in selecting wine to pair with different foods and events! Knowledgeable staff even shared recipes using different wines in baked goods such as brownies. They also are very willing to teach about the winemaking process and answer questions. Cute winery and great experience!

This winery is small inside the part we were in - I think there is a larger area for big groups. You enter thru a door surrounded by vegetation - nice look. The building has a very French look to it. The bottle labels are all colorful and have unique designs. The wines are good - not expensive. The Merlot and Cab Franc were the ones we liked.

The tasting room is small. With a name like Chateau Renaissance you might expect a place that put on airs but it was laid back and without pretense. The strong points for this winery are the fruit and sparkling wines. The fruits included unique flavors like rose water, dandelion, and strawberry rhubarb. The red raspberry was delicious.

If fruit and sparkling wines are not your thing, then the other wine offerings are adequate but nothing to brag about compared to other wines available on Keuka and Seneca lakes. Overall, the wines seemed pricer than counterparts at other wineries. On the plus side, there is no charge for a tasting.
