I enjoy walking the boardwalk here and checking out all of the people. There are always live music bands and things for people to do. The surfers are always out and you can often see someone parasailing as well. Rockaway beach is fun for the...More

My husband and I came here on a summer Sunday. You can take the A train here or the ferry from Brooklyn and Manhattan. The beach is really really lovely. The whole boardwalk has been redone because the old one was demolished in Hurricane Sandy....More

Less crowds than Jones Beach, more room and cleaner that Coney. Pros: beach, cops, travel time Cons: parking (arrive WAY before the lifeguards get on duty, trust me), hot-dogs don't seem to matter anymore. Worth the visit.

Beach is fairly clean. Lots of seashells to collect. Patrolled well by police. A great boardwalk for walking, jogging or bike riding

Great boardwalk and nice beach/surfing area. Plenty of places to eat, drink, or snack. The Boardwalk is really nice---for strolling, biking, or skate boarding. Impressed.

A nice quiet beach in Queens. Very scenic on the Atlantic Ocean. We are very lucky on Long Island to have beaches that can be reached by public transportation.

I love the area near the Dredsurfer Grill on 17th Street. It is relaxing, family friendly and calm. You'll find free parking too.
