A nice quiet beach in Queens. Very scenic on the Atlantic Ocean. We are very lucky on Long Island to have beaches that can be reached by public transportation.

After Hurricane Sandy the whole broad walk was torn apart. Brand new Broadwalk has been built here. Views are amazing. There is plenty of good food in neighborhood. Lots of people come here to surf. And there are couple of bars and wine shops. You...More

Rockaway Beach is one of the best places to visit along Hwy 101. My family has been going there every year and it just gets better with time. Great shops, great food and great locals.

The beach is wide. Not much amenities. I don't want a beach town, but a cup of coffee would have been nice. Public restrooms are available.
