You can't find a better place for a picnic. Plenty of tables all right along the riverbank and you can find shade. No food is sold here and the park is become garbage-free - meaning take your's home with you. It's expensive (especially if you...More

Beautiful river park. Was there for Clearwater Festival. Great place to picnic, birdwatch or just relax. Need to get up there one day and sail on one of the organization's fleet of restored schooners/sloops.

The only thing going for this place is the location. The location right near the train into NYC was so convenient, and the park is very pretty with nice sites among trees so you don’t really feel like you’re near a city. But the staff...More

Great place for a walk there are nice trails. The geese were lovely too. The campsite looked nice with a number of nice RVs parked there. Great location right on the Hudson

We just visited for an hour or two. Walked around and took pictures of the scenic views in every direction. The geese do seem very "productive," so watch where you step.

We paid $50 for a tent site and $10 for a bundle of wood (this is more expensive than all other parks in the area). We drove to the "campsites" and were appalled. The entire park is DISGUSTING. There is garbage covering the ground, and...More

It's pretty close (within a mile), with the walk in possibly being another 1/2 mile. Definitely doable, and it's beautiful.
