The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lovely views of the lake. The collections are interesting and varied, with great Native American and American folk art and a lovely rotating exhibit on Imogen Cunningham. The person at the ticket counter was a bit curt.

Has materials about James Fenimore Cooper as well as Alexander Hamilton including an interesting coverage of his duel with Aaron Burr and the argument that led up to it. Good Hudson River art.
