It’s hard to believe we have such a amazing force of nature in our backyard. If you’re in the area stop by and take a look at the falls. If you’re around in the spring definitely go -they are raging with all the winter snow...More

Kind of amazing how this area has neglected and abused its environment to the detriment of local tourism. This waterfall could be a world famous attraction, but most of the time it is nearly dry due to the water being diverted for hydro power. Sort...More

underestimated fall, but largest east of Niagara. always take a moment to appreciate when going by. nice park and usually quiet, great for some solitude and coffee.

Nice little park some good views of the falls and river. They do need to trim some of trees and bushes to make it a spectacular view.

A pocket park with benches facing the falls, and a walk along the Mohawk behind a row of former milk-workers’ apartments.

If you are in the Capital District NY Albany/Schenectady/Troy/Saratoga area, do not miss the Cohoes Falls. For eons the only good view was a hidden street with no parking. About 8 years ago, a Canadian Company built the viewing park. You do have to park...More

Even after being a resident of the Capital area for more than a decade, like most people I know, I had not seen the Cohoes Falls. Per chance, I happen to be driving by and decided to take a peek. And it was stunning. Though...More

Definitely have to make it back here sometime when the actual park is open as it seems the hours are limited. What a beautiful site at sunset!
