A fairly new museum which is housed in a gorgeous contemporary building with beautiful exhibition spaces. There are rotating exhibitions featuring first class artists and well curated shows. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely building, great exhibitions space, nice access to study materials in state of the art display cases.
The show we saw represented a great use of the Wellin's permanent collection, assembled to illustrate recurring themes and variations from a variety of periods and cultures.
It was great to see all the buildings that Hamilton has added or remodeled since I graduated in 1985 and the Wellin Museum of Art should not be missed when you tour the campus. It is an architectural gem and a piece of art itself.
This two-year-old museum, right in the heart of Hamilton's campus, is filled with glass that makes it seem larger than it actually is. The College has brought in a new curator to keep the displays relevant. It's well-worth a visit
