Bald Eagles have made the Vischer Ferry Preserve their home. Along w/ many other animal species. Beautiful wooded trails w/ the Mohawk river on your side.

My wife and I walk the trail frequently spring thru fall. Good flat hike. Others use this trail and it is never crowded.

Nice walk, flat and not really a hike, birds, amphibians. Have seem some people fishing but never really seen any fish caught.

This is an attractive spot, and recent improvements to trails have made it easier to negotiate. One caveat- would not visit during duck hunting season

This is how goods for the most part were moved west to east and east to west starting in the 1800’s. This was a critical section of the canal system and an integral part of the nations transportation infrastructure. Good place to enjoy the outdoors....More

All season the water was covered in green, which I think reduced the bird activity compared to last year. However, the path along the water is level and neat. Great for bike riding, walking your dog, nature photos, and exploring with kids.
