This store is awesome. The owner Ray is the greatest guy and super friendly. Every time we are in the area they always know where to fish and have what we need. The staff are super friendly and they have all your camping and fishing needs. We always stop just for the experience.

Maybe it was a bad day for her. But she couldn’t give any comment on the cafe next door. She pretended to know nothing about the hot springs just down the road, or even that there was one

We were happy to move down the road to happier folks

Fishing licenses, bait, tourist keepsakes. A great place to get snacks and Blue Bunny ice cream bars. They even have a sitting and reading area. Appears to be family owned and they are quite friendly. The locals shop there. We stopped last trip to Fenton three times for ice cream and snacks.

This store is a little gem. Ray who runs the store is so lovely and welcoming, he gave us tips for things to see and do around the area. The coffee is good and only $1! The store is really well equipped and the price is very reasonable. Definitely would recommend popping in even if it's just to say hi!

Enjoyed looking Amanda's, unusual furnishings, lot of fun and interesting things. Good place to pick up your fishing license and all you will need for fishing in the lakes of the area

I was expecting to find nothing here - we had driven a long way and a lot of the convenience stores were limited but I couldn't believe the selection of items here - everything I was missing and needed for my campsite. The prices weren't too bad and the staff was pretty nice too!

For those of us who live in the area, Amanda's can be a real lifesaver. They stock most basic food items, bread, milk, beer, cookies, firewood, newspaper, all the essentials. If Amanda's doesn't have it, you will need to drive all the way across the mountains to Los Alamos or farther. We stop here several times a week to pick up the basics when we don't want to have to drive all the way into Albuquerque. We're thankful this little store is here, and the only way to improve it would be to offer gasoline.

I'm biased because I spend about half the year in a nearby cabin, but I'm not exaggerating when I say this is a great little old-fashioned country store run by Ray and his friendly staff. They have all you could need for a camping trip in the Jemez, including all the most recent information on camping sites, fishing and trout stock, wildfires in the area, how to get to the various hot springs, etc. If you don't see what you want, just ask -- they'll be happy to check in the cooler for you to see if it's available. If you already have all you need, stop by for a cold drink and just to say howdy.

There was a group of seven of us renting a cabin nearby and we were out and about everyday going to a different destination, without any chance of grabbing breakfast lunch or dinner anywhere due to the location, but then we found Amanda's. We attacked the store like a pack of buzzards after our hikes. Pizza? They've got it. Soup? They've got it. Sodas and snacks and candy goods and microwavable treats, chips and dips and jerkey and anything you can dream of, it's there. We ate both lunch and dinner from there. Such a great variety of items, they really have everything you could need, which is perfect since there's not a whole lot of anything else anywhere near. Surprisingly the prices are great. They could really gouge you being out in the middle of nowhere and not having anyone else to compete but they are very fairly priced, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
I love this place. I think everyone needs to stop in and get something because Lord knows they have something that everybody needs.
