You can pay a lot for expensive cruises, but the NYC ferries are probably the best way to see NYC with perspective.

Visiting from UK, we where a bit worried about finding the ferry terminal but was very easy. Ferry every 10 min and at $9 it’s well worth even if you just want the views. We needed to get to Weehawken and worried about taxis but...More

The New York water fairy taxi was safe, clean, and did it’s job. Unfortunately they didn’t care much about the scheduled time they posted and the staff did not want to talk to you. I got the feeling they existed only to take you from...More

The ferry is a very good alternative to the bus and the car to those living in the Edgewater and Weehawken area. There are buses that take you to and from the terminal and it's also accessible by walk. I just wished it was a...More

We always take the NY Waterway Ferry from NJ to NY whenever we can. It is a beautiful ride, especially at night. Normally take the Port Imperial ferry to Midtown. Plenty of parking right across the street from the terminal. Great photo ops of NYC.

One can catch the bus to ferry terminal in several bus stops in the city, ride for free. Take a short ride to NJ and see Manhattan skyline. Especially great towards sundown! then board bus back to the city.

Don’t pay for a tour of New York on the water. Hop on one of these ferries and just don’t get off. They take you all over the place!

I love the ferry service, works well with an app on your phone. good schedule, I wish a one-way trip will not cost $9.00, it is expensive.

A great way to get from NJ into New York City! There's a large parking garage at the Ferry Terminal. Approx 10 minute (or less?) smooth ride over to Manhattan. Inside seating or upstairs on the upper deck with a nice breeze blowing... Yes!! Must...More

Me again! The Sheraton Lincoln harbour sells the tickets for the ferry. I tried the website and it’s shockingly slow. Just go and ask to buy them at Sheraton Lincoln harbour hotel. They are around 18 dollars I think.

You can take the Circle line from NY to see the Statue of Liberty . If you want to go to where the statue is , you can take the ferry over to NJ if u don’t want to take the subway.
