We caught the ferry from Manhattan to Hoboken Pier 14 and walk south to Liberty State Park. Peaceful walk with great views, stop off at Carlo's for a cake.

A beautiful park with an amazing view of Manhattan. Starts just north of the PATH Hoboken Station and stretch up to the green grounds of Stevens Institute of Technology and Castle Point Observation Terrace.

I would do it and see what happens but check the posted rules for the park first to see if it prohibited. Another thought, go when it isn't busy.

I don't recall seeing any signs, however unless you are with a group safety first. Usually there are closing times.
