The Rock in Glen Rock is certainly worth a drive by. In the middle of a traffic circle, this remnant of the last ice age, it certainly brings the town's name origins to life for young and old.

Glaciers moved this enormous "rock" and deposited it in the valley. Local indigenous tribes worshipped at this site as it was felt to have unique powers. It currently sits off of the intersection of Rock Road and Doremus Avenue in Glen Rock.

And a pain to circumvent by car. Everybody in this area knows the Rock and is frequently used to give directions. Visit only if you happen to run into it.
