Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were doing some leaf peeping in New Jersey, and found this spot by chance. What luck! The weather was perfect -- a day after rain -- and the sky was a brilliant blue. The trees were beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow, and the view under the GW Bridge toward the NYC Skyline was simply magical.
Weather permitting: A wonderful place for a picnic, or just a beautiful drive. Enjoy!

Not many people or even residents of Fort Lee do not know of this gem right in our neighborhood. Great weather and view of the city and just a natural and serene environment. Must visit for a picnic.

So I came to Ross Dock park for a birthday party and I was expecting to not pay due to the information on the website. Wrong. They are still charging and when I asked the lady collecting she said, “Oh they changed it.” What a joke. Then I asked if there was someone I could talk to and she told me to call the number on the home site. I called, no response. I went back and asked her if there was someone I could talk to perhaps an extension I could call and she said that there is nobody working in the administrative building today and she was the only one working. Why would she even tell me to call them in the first place without clarifying that important detail before I stayed on the phone for 10 minutes waiting for somebody to pick up? Even if you were going to charge people, at least make sure the park is clean. I came here near opening time and it’s disgusting.

There are really scenic views here. If you walk a bit further down you get to see old cannons, small barracks and other civil war like items.

My boyfriend and I always park here when walking along the path since it’s a mile or two from the base of the bridge. Starting after Memorial Day to Labor Day it’s like $5-$10 to park for the day so it’s not horrible but during the off season there’s no fee which is nice.

Ross dock picnic area is a nice place with a beautiful view of George Washington Bridge and New York. Parking is free and there are lots of places to do grilling and barbecue on an open air. So it’s a great possibility to come out with friends or your family for 3-4 hours especially during the nice day. Usually weekends are busy so you have to come here earlier to get a nice place.

We happened upon this little park by chance while in the area and just driving along the riverfront. It's got a very nice playground and some intriguing walking trails. We were there in early November, so we didn't have to pay a fee to enter; but I think you do have to pay 'in season'.

The views of the George Washington Bridge are very nice as are the views of the Jersey cliffs (I don't know if that's what they're called). The only knock I have of the park is that the access road is a bit narrow and there are a lot of cyclists who don't respect cars that need to pass through. Drive carefully!

Free parking after Labor Day, bathrooms, picnic tables and bbq grills. A playground for kids and views of the Hudson and NYC to die for. I highly recommended.
