Walking this beach is easy since at low tide it is flat and firm. I rarely walked barefoot because there are lots of broken shells to avoid . Many people pick spots to just sit and read while listening to the waves rolling in. Loved...More

Beaches are similar here to anywhere in NJ. We were here right after Labor Day, so there were some less people than normal. If you get to the beach in Nov, you can find conch shells washed up pretty frequently.

Clean, sparkling water, and plenty of room for everyone. The beaches of Cape May provide a wonderful place for sitting, sunning, swimming, and walking. Lots of amenities including clean and free restrooms. Many hotels line the beach so one need not walk more than a...More

Beach ticketing staff was rude and lacked any personality. Thankfully our time dealing with her was brief and once we were on the beach all was forgiven

The beach was ok, normal beach but not straight. There were several places that jutted out one had to walk around. The beach was jammed, wall to wall people. I like that NJ sweeps their beaches at night, so I don't mind paying, but $6...More

I love The beaches of Cape May. They seem more natural than other shore points, with migrating birds and dolphins that pass by every few hours or so, You can walk to the lighhouse and the bird sanctuary is simply awesome. Give you a real...More

We stay at La Mer so we go to the beach across the street. The beach is clean, and never really crowded when we go in September. There is a wooden pathway that leads to the sand. There is a restroom about a tenth of...More

There is expansive sand at Cape May beaches and it was not overly crowded. Beach tags are available for 1 day, 3 days, 1 week or season tickets.

Great beaches in CM even though a beach tag is required. Easy access to restrooms and restaurants. Beach patrol is professional and alert.

There are going to be waves on any beach on the East Coast. That is the reality of Mother Nature. But, the waves I found smaller on Sunset Beach, which is in the bay as opposed to the Coastline. Sunset Beach is in West Cape... More

The beaches do not close in the off season. They are not guarded so you are on your own for safety.
