Beaches are safe and clean. No vending on the beach so they remain clear of trash. Restrooms are fairly close by and clean, showers at some beach exits are very convenient. Beach fees are not very high but still a pain. Unfortunately the state saw...More

Saw dolphins cavorting in the surf close to shore. The sand was soft and litter-free. The public restrooms were immaculate. So close to everything in town. Perfect!

Even in November, the beaches are picturesque, well maintained, with seashells and horseshoe crabs. Enjoyed the company of the fishermen and beachcombers. Able to walk barefoot, watch sunset, great times.

Beautiful wide sandy beaches. Enjoy them from the boardwalk or enjoy walking in the sand. It's a beautiful place. Very quite in off-season. The sun was shining when we were there, and we found walking very pleasant. It was our favorite ocean location in the...More

We walked up and down the boardwalk over and over. It was just beautiful! Totally empty! There was somewhat of a sunset. The wind and the salt air were delightful.

Used the beach services to rent an umbrella. Got a good spot on the beach and stayed all day. The dolphins put on a spectacular show for us. Nice sandy beach.

There are going to be waves on any beach on the East Coast. That is the reality of Mother Nature. But, the waves I found smaller on Sunset Beach, which is in the bay as opposed to the Coastline. Sunset Beach is in West Cape... More

The beaches do not close in the off season. They are not guarded so you are on your own for safety.
