Well, I likely should not speak too much about fishing, since I wasn't fishing. I just know that every single time I have been to Barnegat, fisherman abound. So, I am presuming it's a great place to fish...from the rocks, from the sidewalk, from the...More

Wake up early, walk to the water and enjoy the sunrise with someone special. Stopping for bagels, coffee and orange juice beforehand recommended but not necessary.

Real nice trip especially in the fall when the traffic on the island is gone and the leaves are turning. You get one of those real nice days and a trip up the lighthouse can't be beat.

Sorry, I just saw your question, I would have to say I doubt it would be open as it is a state holiday. Though you can likely walk through the park.
