Very unique and have never seen anything else like it. The concessions were a bit overpriced. $4.50 for a Pillsbury cinnamon roll? And $4 for some Swiss Miss hot chocolate?

Well we can check Ice Castles off of our bucket list. It was an okay place to visit for the day. Our pictures did come out cool but the actual Ice Castles themselves were smaller than I imagined they’d be. The lights at night were...More

It was worth the trip but dress warm because you are surrounded by ice. The workers were very informative about how the castle was built.

Buy your tickets early. Best on a Sunday night. Friday and Saturdays its packed. Great experience walking through the different rooms and tunnels. LED lights change the ice different colors. Could use some more ice sculptures though.

When you first walk in it is breathtaking! Amazing what they can do with ice! We went when it was about 15 below zero! Dress in layers-NOT the place to be a fashion-ista! Wear winter BOOTS. Use bathrooms BEFORE entering. Take the time to stand...More

Though a bit pricey, Ice Castles was a pretty cool site. The kids had fun and the adults enjoyed the ice slide almost as much as the kids. Best to go at night after sunset and mid season when they have campfires in the center.

... for a UK visitor anyway. The time to go is just before it gets dark. Have a quick look round while it's still light, then enjoy the lovely colour effects as the sky turns dark blue.

This year the Ice Castle had fire dancers. Unfortunately, people put kids on their shoulders, stood in front, and basically most people are taller than me! It was cool, but I don't think you need to stay for the whole show. The slide is super...More

No it is only open in the winter and selected dates. The castle is very sensitive to weather so if it is a cold winter it will last longer.
