Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stuart (the skipper) was fantastic. Flexible and knowledgeable about the area he tailored the day to suit our group. The 'snack' between dives kept on coming and were very much appreciated by the divers

Great afternoon spent with Stuart. Everything was easy from getting to the boat to getting in the water. Thank you Stuart for looking after us and for all the very interesting information about the local underwater world. Hot drinks really appreciated. We'll do again if we come back in the area.

Had a sweet day exploring the Mikhail Lermontov this past wknd. Stuart was a great skipper and support for the day, giving us a local insight into the Sounds. Highly recommend WDC and the wreck. Thanks for a memorable day team! Will definitely be back for more!

Thanks so much to Stu and Kate (and Katie!) for a treat dive! Weather was great, dive was unique, and the tomato soup and mulled wine really made the trip!

Thanks and will see you again!!

Stewart and Kate were awesome. They organised a last minute rescue course for my friend visiting from Australia. They were very friendly and professional, I even got to go along on the boat to be a victim needing multiple rescues. Our time with them was great and I would highly recommend Waikawa Dive Centre for any diving needs in the area.

I had the best day doing my discover scuba with Kate and Stu! Normally the discover scuba is 4 hours or so, but Kate and Stu let me come along on the boat all day while Kate juggled teaching me and helping three other divers finish their PADI training. It was a fantastic day - the scuba diving was really fun, the fish were very friendly, the snacks on board the boat were delicious and the company was very warm and jovial. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone wanting a great scuba diving experience or just a lovely day on a boat in the Sounds!

I did my Open water PADI here and it was amazing. Kate and the crew knew the best places and how to create amazing times. Both open water trips were well planned out with hot soup, garlic bread, nuts and more waiting when we surfaced. The area is amazing and full of fish sea stars, starfish and more.
All round it was an amazing time which I will never forget
Huge thanks to everyone

Awesome diving with Mandy and the crew! Completed my Advanced Open water with these guys and it was a blast! The man in the kitchen, Stuart, made the best LBDs, soup and garlic bread just what you need after a dive.

Will be heading back here to complete my rescue diver course !

Overall, good times, awesome food, great diving and even better people.

First of all Thanks to Stu and Doug who have been very knowledgeable, PATIENT and went through everything I needed to know in a professional manner. I haven't dive during one year and any anxiety I had was soon put to rest even under water! They teach me a lot about the area and the boat journey was at itself wonderful ! Diving with passionate people is always much more fun !

I dive the Mikail Lemontov day and night dive and it definitly worth it! The wreck is so huge and still in good condition and not too deep !

The equipment used was in a very good condition. All the security was respected (briefing, oxygen etc.)

(Because it matters to me), the food and drinks seem to be unlimited and Stu is definitly a chef, he cooked fresh crayfish and butter fish perfectly well.

All in all an amazing experience and perfect service. Have no worries about putting your trust in them. They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived.
