    Outstanding Museum
We have toured many WW2 Museums throughout Europe and this is one of the best. They have done a great job displaying their items and telling the story of Normandy 1944. Well worth the stop. If you are touring D-day museums while in Normandy, this one is highly recommended.
Dear F9007BYrickt Thank you so much for noticing our museum among all those you visited in Europe! Your recommendation is a great reward for us and we hope that you will keep this beautiful memory of your cultural visit in Normandy for a long time. We look forward to seeing you again Cécile - Normandy Victory Museum

Fantastic array of artifacts and exhibits from the Liberation. Excellent value, and fabulous adjoing restaurant.
Outstandingly good value for money, very informative, with innumerable genuine artefacts and exhibits from the Liberation and surrounding period. Free parking, multiple original military vehicles in and around the parking area, with many more inside. 9€ entry p/p kept us engrossed with an interactive wifi (free) accessable audio guide with additional info on most of the exhibits. Took us 3hrs to complete the visit. Mainly US involvement focussed, but hugely worthwhile wherever your interest/curiosity sits. Fantastic adjoing restaurant (A10) which is worth a visit alone ! Highly recommended, not as busy as the other beach museums as it's a 10 min drive (from Utah Beach).
Dear Rody, Thank you very much for your kind note and this very complete review, which will be very useful to future visitors. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit and everything that we do to ensure that our visitors understand what happened that summer of 1944 after the Normandy landings. We hope you enjoy your visit to our region. Cécile

This is a must see for the history of the war for both sides
This Museum was the best of all we saw in our week in Normandy. The scenes are very lifelike, without the commercial feel of a state run museum. It was hard to believe this was part of a collection by individuals, and the cafe was great.
Thank you very much for this wonderful feedback! We are really happy to be recognized among the best in your ranking. Indeed, our museum, which celebrated its 5th anniversary last year, was founded by three enthusiasts who have collected more than 20,000 authentic objects over the years (including 15,000 on display in the museum). This ranges from military equipment to vehicles, including leisure objects, fashion and everyday accessories, letters from soldiers and civilians. Our team is small but our passion is immense and it is with real pleasure that we share this with our visitors. We hope that you will keep beautiful memories of your stay in Normandy

Loved it. Museography snobs might criticise the number of artefacts in some of the display cabinets, but the different objects, from military hardware to items in everyday civilian use under the Occupation, provide a tangible link to the past, That link is strengthened by the audiovisual projections of interviews with eyewitnesses and descendants of civilians living in the area at the time.

Dear Roger, Thank you very much for your nice review and your opinion of the way we present our artefacts. The sheer number of objects on display (15,000 out of our collection of over 20,000) means that you can really get to grips with what soldiers and civilians went through during those difficult years. The aim of all this is to help visitors understand what happened, and to pay tribute to all those people who suffered and fought for our freedom. The aim is not to forget. We hope you enjoy your stay in Normandy. We look forward to seeing you again,

Really enjoyed this museum. Kids loved the tanks and armoured vehicles outside. Inside there were clear explanations and lots of memorabilia. Especially liked the section on women in the war and the video interviews with veterans.

Dear Freemca, We are truly delighted that you and your children enjoyed your visit to the Normandy Victory Museum. It is important for us that the children find something to be interested in during their journey because they are the ones who will pass on the history of our countries. Thank you for sharing your satisfaction here and for this beautiful testimony. Visited this museum last week for the second time & I have to say it is even better than the first we went just after it had opened ! They have done alot of new displays & there is alot more to see ! You will be very impressed by the lifesize dioramas depicting German & Allied forces from the 1944 Normandy fighting in the area from vehicles , uniforms , weapons & even small personal items used by the soldiers as well. Our little nephew loved the large German Bunker reconstruction & also being able to stand in a landing Craft to get a feel for what it was like on D Day. There is loads of parking & a restaurent next door so what more could you ask for ! We will definately be returning on our next visit ... Thankyou to the team at the Normandy Victory Museum !!

Great collection of well-preserved, authentic items. The various displays take you back in time and right into the atmosphere of the Battle of Normandy. The staff are extremely friendly people and absolute experts when it comes to the facts and history of the event.
I brought my group of friends over, and even if they were not acquainted with this era, they greatly enjoyed their visit. I strongly recommend a picture on the jeep inside the museum!
We'll come back again with pleasure.

We enjoyed our visit, however were disappointed that most of the emphasis was on the US contribution to the liberation and very little on the sacrifices made by UK forces.

Dear Margaret, We understand your disappointment and assure you of our deep respect for the other armies which helped the Liberation, however, in our museum we have chosen to highlight a very special period of the war, it is the battle of the hedges and Operation Cobra that happened on the American side. Thank you for taking few minutes to leave us this very interesting opinion and your questioning. We look forward to seeing you again. Cécile

Obvious when you drive along on the N13, we decided to give this one a go. We have to admit we liked it. Quite a lot that is on display, scenes that tell a story and very enjoyable. Not too busy so we took our time.
It kind of reminded me of a similar setup from when I was a kid, some war-time village that was recreated. This one provided almost the same atmosphere.

Hello nessie3d Many thanks for your opinion. You were right to stop when you saw the signs (as do many tourists on the RN 13;)) The exceptional circumstances of this year, have allowed you to visit the museum in almost VIP conditions, and it is finally a good luck not? We are delighted that you have enjoyed our collections of authentic objects (over 10,000) and our reproductions. Have you handled any of them? Hope to see you again, Cécile - Communication manager
