Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to eat. Had the wood fired pizza it was very well prepared and delicious. Historic place that’s not to be missed. Soup was delicious.

Most excellent. It’s casual, they fed my kid after a long day in the car on a Sunday and her fries and chicken fingers were fantastic. The wood fired pizza is really well made. Fresh basil —- yum! I had the margherita pizza. My kid had the fresh squeezed lemonade and she LOVED it. Great atmosphere—- not a grimy bar. Super friendly staff and a kind and mellow crowd. I used to work in a semi-famous wood fired pizza place in Brooklyn, NY and this pizza is only a hair under the quality of what they were doing.

I think this bar is a must visit when visiting Livingston. This is a quirky bar in a historic town. It is worth the visit just to view the walls and decor. My food was very good as well.

Fun place to visit for brews and pizza. The place was packed with every river guide in Livingston and their girlfriends. Nice selection of draft beers, excellent thin crust pizza. Get a seat at the large square bar and save yourself the trouble of waiting for a table. Great people watching ambiance.

We wanted to have a cold beer before going to dinner so we sat down at the bar. They didn't have Bud light on tap (not unusual in Montana) so got a bottle. We decided to just stay there and order something from the Gil's goods menu as 2nd street Bistro wasn't open. The pizza looked good from the other customers plate, so we ordered one. It was Ok, looked fantastic, but just ok. Our server, a gentleman going by the name Rocky West from the receipt was good. They serve a decent selection of local craft beer, if you're into that.

Their french fries are to die for! We had lunch and it was quite good.
We would go there again if we lived in the area. We were on vacation.

We love to stop in for a beer while visiting Livingston. Located in the historic Murray Hotel. This fine we ordered food which is prepared by the partner restaurant Gil’s Goods. Great salads.

I stopped in with friends after company holiday dinner. The bar service was quick and friendly. There was a nice selection of beer brewed locally.

Got into Livingston fairly late on a Sunday night on the first stop of a cross country tour. Hadn’t been there in 30 plus years. I was afraid nothing would be open but then I saw the Murray Bar and found out it was not only open but was incredible. Great atmosphere, beer and food. Brady was my server and she was especially good....very friendly and full of good information. Her only downfall was that I had to explain to her that “Livingston Saturday Night” was a Jimmy Buffett classic!! Oh well, she was young!! I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Although this is a bar, there is a decent size food menu which feature salads, burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. I ordered a chef salad which was quite good - lots of fresh, leafy greens, plump, juicy tomatoes and a generous portion of freshly shaved roast beef, ham and turkey. The accompanying blue cheese dressing was creamy and delicious. I liked the old-school atmosphere. Service was prompt and pleasant. Located in the heart of downtown Livingston. Don’t forget to stop at the adjacent Murray Hotel for a quick look around the lobby area - lots of interesting history here.
