Summer months give us hydrangeas, shasta daisies, echinaceas (coneflowers), rudbeckia, black-eyed susans, roses, lilies, day lilies and clematis. Fall flowers are amaranths, dahlias, chrysanthemums, asters, hardy hibiscus, angel’s trumpets (brugmansia), rudbeckia, black-eyed susans, and roses We are open April to October daily 9:00 - 6:00 for garden tours. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a nice little garden to look around in. The chickens were a added bonus as they are the super cute! Back to the gardens just beautiful and so relaxing would recommend for a quaint little stop

This garden was amazing and relaxing! They even have a few spots set up for photo opportunities. There are a few, fun, free roaming chickens too! Beautiful place!

Lovely gardens. Lots of color. Small but definitely worth the stop. The flowers were beautiful. Easy to find.

It’s lovely but it’s more or less someone’s very well manicured back yard. I was in and out in 15 minutes.. unless you’re really into backyards, I wouldn’t say to go out of your way for it.

Thank you for your review Jeanalyon. I'm sorry you weren't amazed by our gardens like so many visitors are. I'm pretty sure you didn't get to see the entire garden. Now and then visitors think part of the gardens are private and they stop before they get to see the entire garden. Please visit us again and get the full experience.

This place is beautiful and definitely worth seeing. You do need to pay in cash so plan on being exact change bc you won’t get change back. $15 for two adult for us (I paid extra bc I didn’t have change). They have so many beautiful irises as well as other miscellaneous flowers and plants. There is an adorable koi pond with a bridge which was my favorite part.

These gardens are a hidden beauty. There are many things at DanWalt Gardens which delight the senses. The grounds are well kept, colorful and ever changing. There is plenty of space to get your very own piece of zen. The owners are hard working, personable and knowledgeable about their many plants, bushes, trees, cluckers, etc. What a local treat!!

Need 30-60 minutes to recharge? Stop by this garden - seems personal yet professional. Very nicely done over an expansive residential yard.

These folks must work really hard to keep things so well kept. BZ

I visited the gardens a few days ago. I am a regular visitor and enjoy watching the gardens, trees and bushes change through the seasons. I’m excited that they have achieved botanical gardens status. They certainly have earned it!! The entire property is gorgeous!! Clint and Suri are gracious, friendly hosts. The property is a beautiful and serene get away from daily hustle bustle or as a travel destination.

I've lived here for 13 years and have heard that this is a great place for an event, but I had never been there myself. Some of my dearest friends took me there for a special day and I was able to see how beautiful it is in person. Clint also came by to say hello and tell us a little bit about the grounds. He was very pleasant and introduced us to "Gregory Peck", one of the roosters and all the other chickens that help give the beautiful gardens a little extra quirkiness.

I have a black thumb but love gardens. This is easily one of my top five favorite vibe spots in Billings. Worth the $7.50 entry fee for sure.

This is not a large botanical garden. But, it is an interesting place with very well maintained spaces, a lot of charm, and beautifully designed gardens. Payment on the honor system (I think it was $7). Worth an hour or two.
