This museum is a very good overview of the L&C expedition. The National Geographic film was great and the full scale reproduction of the keel boat used. Also Main St in St Charles is very nice and worth visiting.

Didn't have much time when we were passing through, but it looked like a decent place to stop and relax!

It is not only the history but the museum shows as great movie about the expedition. The amazing stamina and determination of this group that practically charted the West.

The museum contained a boatload (pun intended) of artifacts and information about the Voyage of Exploration. I would recommend it for history buffs of all ages.

Seeing the keelboat that was used in the reenactment was interesting. The boat house is huge and they work on the boat and you can watch. Then go upstairs to the museum that is great for kids. Things are scaled down for them. There was...More

This is a neat addition to your tour of Main Street in St. Charles. No need to return. There's a bit of history and a nice view of the Missouri River.
