This is a very nice museum highlighting the Lewis & Clark expedition as they traveled through Saint Charles. The folks in the museum are very nice, and the view from the balcony is beautiful.

This museum is a very good overview of the L&C expedition. The National Geographic film was great and the full scale reproduction of the keel boat used. Also Main St in St Charles is very nice and worth visiting.

Didn't have much time when we were passing through, but it looked like a decent place to stop and relax!

It is not only the history but the museum shows as great movie about the expedition. The amazing stamina and determination of this group that practically charted the West.

These are the boats they use in recreations of L&C trek. You can see them even when the museum is closed. Nobody was working on them and you can't go in close to them, but they are still impressive. The small museum shows the National...More

We really enjoyed this museum. It is not large but had a lot of interesting exhibits and a very good gift shop. The entrance fee was only $5 per person and there was free on-site parking. Recommend seeing the movie on Lewis and Clark. It...More

Seeing the keelboat that was used in the reenactment was interesting. The boat house is huge and they work on the boat and you can watch. Then go upstairs to the museum that is great for kids. Things are scaled down for them. There was...More
