I and my husband visited this place an April 2018. We are from Ukraine (a former Soviet Union country) and in our country we have a Chernobyl (a Nuclear Power Plant where a catastrophic nuclear accident occurred on 25–26th of April 1986). So we understand...More

One would never guess what a hidden treasure this is! The staff are so courteous too. Amazing amount of history and education, great for a short hike and a view from the highest point in the county! I highly recommend it.

Eerie, worth the stop. Hard to believe the history of this place, obviously hidden and kept a secret until it was cleaned up. Now we make it a tourist attraction.

A former toxic waste site that was cleaned up. You can learn a little about the contamination, the clean up, and the animals that have reclaimed the area in the information center. The short walk to the top of the concrete shell provides a great...More
