I loved travelling through this area by bike.... Was very time meaningful, and truly worthwhile.... I could not find ant water fountain at the trail-head, but guess you need to go to a store and buy it?

Great biking, very nice reception from all people. Fun time. Trail is pretty much flat with a few uphills but not very many. Lot of places to stop. We parked our car in the casino in St. Charles (let the desk know) and they said...More

The Katy Trial is a Rail to Trail path so it's off road. It's crushed gravel and the State keeps it well maintained. There aren't any hills since the trains didn't like steep inclines. The path covers beautiful scenery and goes to many little towns...More

We rented bicycles and rode along the river. Enjoyed the peaceful eco park and the flowers along the way. The trail is clean and well maintained.

The Katy Trail is awesome for biking. Very flat and bikers can wind through lots of nature. Interesting trees, plants, and animals to observe. Many also walk and run on the trail. You can view the Missouri River from the trail. Overall Awesome!!

A very well-maintained park, perfect for daily exercise or a longer weekend distance with a picnic lunch. It runs close to Main Street in St. Charles which has interesting shops, restaurants, and Missouri's First State Capital. You can also start further west on the trail...More

Good for walking, running, or biking and enjoying the scenery. Walked and jogged several times during our visit and the leaves were changing colors. Absolutely breathtaking! Not crowded at all - highly recommend.

In St. Charles, you can rent bikes at the Bike Stop Cafe. You can also rent bikes in Defiance. There are also places in other towns. Where are you starting from?

The trailheads always have maps. Get one at St. Charles at the bike shop on the trail.

There are several places along this route. Especially off Main Street. If you travel west during the summer there is a fresh produce store that serves food also.
