We're not tea drinkers, but when we heard that this is the only place in all of Europe that produces tea, we had to visit. Glad we did! We had an saw an informative film followed by a brief tour of the facility, and then...More

Nice place to see the Porto Formoso tea plantation and how they produce it. They offer a short visit inside with a short video, enough to get an idea, in the end a free cup of tea. If you want to buy they sell tea...More
Small tea plantation. Greeted when we entered the building and led on a short tour with ends with hot broken leaf tea. Less crowded and better experience. Great value for the tea for souvenirs as well.
We stopped there not really knowing what to expect. Someone came over right away and we were informed that if we could wait for a few minutes someone would come along and give us a tour of the plantation in English. While waiting we watched...More
This tea plantation is a very nice place to discover how the tea making process works. Hosts are very friendly and the tour including a cup of their tea is free.

This was along our route so we decided to stop. We watched a short introduction film before beginning the brief tour. As a tea lover learning about its harvest and fabrication was interesting. We enjoyed a cup of tea before heading on our way.
Its a must go place. Despite Gorreana tea factory be in the same area (aprox.800m), te Porto Formoso tea factory aloow a more personal experience. It doesnt have too many people visiting the place (unlike Gorreana) and you will have a free guided tour, with...More
