Pennington flash is a beautiful family friendly place to visit , with rest facilities including food stands , toilets and great play parks for children , a lovely place to walk the dog or simply walk around visiting the various bird hides .

Can be tranquil. Nice walk around lake. Sometimes unusual birds visit. Be aware of daft hysterical mums feeding geese/ducks screaming and sending their kids off in frightened tears. Unbelievable but aside from them, cool place, good hides.

I first visited the flash in the 1970s and was amazed by its development into a fantastic haven for visitors and wildlife. I only hope the vans will ultimately be replaced by a café or even a restaurant with the possibility of romantic dinners as...More

I'm not aware of any. However you may want to check with Wigan Metro or local vets who may be able to confirm.

I don't think the council will have a problem with the scattering of the ashes, just a quick call will settle your mind. Also it is a lovely thought.
