I've been attending the Mn State Fair since I was five years old and I think I have only missed it once since 1969. I know my way around the fairgrounds like nobodys business. I love the Pronto Pups, the Giant Slide and the Roasted...More

This is the best way to finish off the summer before school. Not to mention the endless types of great food on or off a stick. The exhibits are too numerous to count. The 4-H and FFA kids to a teriffic job of keeping the...More

This is your classic, really big, State Fair. There are the cows and horses to see, sheep, goats, rabbits, ducks, pigeons, turkeys, a milking barn, a petting barn, a birthing barn. The food is the big thing here, mostly fried and mostly on a stick....More

I love the fair, but I know it's not for everyone. You have to be prepared for the hot and sticky and just know what your feet are going to start aching. Be prepared and bring some painkiller, hand sanitizer, wear comfy shoes, and some...More

During the state fair, you will have the most fun. Try all the different foods served on a stick! Lots to see, dress for weather. Wear good walking shoes.

We have the best State Fair in the country. Only Texas is larger, but our state fair is homier and more evocative of the original intent of State Fairs. All Mom and Pop type vendors with wildly different booths and kiosks. In Texas they all...More

Yes. Shuttle parking from the Mall of America across from the East parking ramp. I'm sure it will be well marked. Come early, though; the shuttle lots tend to fill very quickly.
