Really enjoyed this state fair, everyone was friendly. Many different types of food. I suggest going on the 1st day, or on a Tuesday or Wednesday. The crowds are smaller on those days.

Always a great time, have never missed a year. From the Skyride to the West end Market no better place to be a Minnesotan.

While the state fair has become so popular that there are media from around the world to cover it, it still is great fun and an annual family event for my family. All sorts of crazy food-on-a-stick, local and national performers, the Miracle of Birth...More

Love love the State Fair, all the food, booths in grandstand. Cheese curds, music, people watching, entertainment, beer, etc.

This is a great way to learn a lot about Minnesota. Whether you visit the animals (rabbits, chickens, horses, pigs, etc) or the creative arts building - which displays staggering creativity, you see some of the best of Minnesota. You can spend a little or...More

The Minnesota State Fair is always a terrific way to spend 2-3 days or nights in late August or early September each summer in Minnesota!

Well I ended up going to the fair in the record breaking day with over 275, 000 people attending it too. It was hot and miserable. I never made it to the cookie line as I gave up from sweating and not moving for 15...More

This is the first time to the State Fair in 15 years. The last time I went was with small children and found that stressful with the crowds. This time was fun for a couple. We were pleased to take peoples advise and park and...More

always a great place to spend hours, so much variety, can spend a little or a lot sadly, in 2018 saw the first activity on the first day that denied equal access based on gender (no boys allowed)

Love to go by myself and spend hours in creative activities building and horticulture. When I go with others I am tugged along. Solo I can spend as much time looking at an object as I wish.

Yes. Shuttle parking from the Mall of America across from the East parking ramp. I'm sure it will be well marked. Come early, though; the shuttle lots tend to fill very quickly.
